Massage Amsterdam: how long to book, judged by the sightseeing day you have just had

Written for visitors

The length is the one choice in the booking that visitors hesitate over. One hour, ninety minutes, two hours, three or a whole night: here is how the day you have just had can guide a massage in Amsterdam to a length that feels right.

Every booking names a length, and every length has one fixed figure on each therapist's profile, the same at any hour and in any central district. The choice is yours, and there is no wrong answer. But the kind of day you had says a good deal about which length will suit, and a moment spent thinking about it before you write is time well spent.

One hour

An hour suits a half day of walking, a short city visit, or an evening when you still want to go out for dinner afterwards. It is long enough to settle and short enough to leave the evening open. If you are unsure, an hour is a sound place to start: a second booking on a later evening is simple once the house knows you.

Ninety minutes and two hours

After a full day on foot, with a museum in it or a long cycle ride, ninety minutes is the length visitors tend to settle on, because it never feels rushed. Two hours suits the final evening of a trip, or a day so long that you want the evening to have no shape at all. Both are charged at the same rate per hour as the single hour, and neither carries a deposit on its own account, though a first booking with the house does.

Three hours, the overnight, and choosing a massage in Amsterdam by format

Three hours or more is a different kind of booking, closer to an evening in than to a session, and it always carries a deposit of half the fee. The overnight is eight hours, agreed ahead as one block, and suits the last night of a trip when nothing is booked for the morning; the overnight page explains it. Some formats need more time than others: tantra, paced by the breath, sits better in ninety minutes or two hours than in one, as the tantra page says. The session length entry lists every option side by side.

Ending early, adding time

If you know before she sets out that a shorter length will do, say so in the thread and the booking changes to it. Once the session has started, ending early does not reduce the fee for the time reserved. An hour beyond the third can be asked about on the evening itself, at the single hourly rate.

Questions

Short answers
Is one hour enough after a full day of sightseeing?

It can be. Many visitors find ninety minutes more comfortable after a whole day on foot, but an hour is plenty after a half day.

Does a longer session need a deposit?

Three hours or more always does, as does an overnight. An hour, ninety minutes or two hours carry a deposit only when another rule applies, such as a first booking.

Can I change the length after booking?

Before she sets out, yes: say so in the thread. After the session starts, the fee for the reserved time stays due.
